Good morning! I am off to Atlanta today to see Adele and I am so pumped! Like, so pumped! I saw her when I lived in NYC at the Roseland Ballroom–a super small venue. It was before she became super famous and it was incredible. I am actually not sure that this concert will top that one, but she is so so good, it really doesn’t matter!
Anyway, onto the point of this post. I have what some might call a black thumb. I kill all the plants–seriously. But, I love all the plants. See my dilemma? Every year around this time, I decide to be all domestic and plant containers for the front porch. I can’t help it, I love the way they look and it makes me feel like such an adult.
And, every year, I promise myself (and my husband) that this year will be the year I keep the plants alive. So, Harper and I went to a local nursery to pick out some fall plants to spruce up our porch. I brought her little radio flyer push wagon with us and filled it up with plants, she was such a big hit with all of the people, I didn’t even have time to take a picture! I am so sad. But, we had the best time just walking around looking at all of the pretty flowers and plants. There was so much for her to see and feel, she loved it!
We ended up with some beautiful two toned orange marigolds, some ornamental cabbage, and some tall grass to add height. They turned out beautifully. Here’s hoping I can keep them alive!
